Poll #519 - Let's build a world through adventures!

As time goes on and the new "edition" (5.5... 5.25... whatever the fuck) spreads, it's occurred to me that I need to update things a bit. While I will continue to have the immense 5e library here and still make content that will work for it, I need to consolidate and focus on the "non-D&D" brands that have done well for me. Not only will this help me move into this new 5e2024 future, but it will also help me get a bit more focused.

Recently, I looked at all the other brands I've created since the OGL headache, and the most successful two have been Just Passing Through and MEK BORG. I will continue creating content for Just Passing Through and sharing it here, as it's useful for anyone who uses it. In addition, I'll be crafting content set in the MEK BORG universe, which can function as OSR or 5e content.

Inevitably, I want everything I make to be cohesive with recognizable branding and not so "all over the place." Fortunately, MEKBorg is weird enough that a fantasy world—even if there are MEKs in it—won't seem out of place.

And that's what I aim to do...

ON TO THE POLL!

The adventures going forward will take place on a new campaign world called REND-6, which is in the MEK BORG universe. It's a mix of post-apocalyptic stuff, sci-fi, and fantasy; a blend of all the things I enjoy writing. Of course, there will be some familiar monsters, but they will have a bit of a REND-6 twist. It'll be OSR/Agnostic in its basic version, with 5e versions explicitly made for subscribers.

I'll also give notes on how to "reskin/retheme" the content if you want to use it for more traditional fantasy adventuring.

Regardless, I want to start developing this world through adventures, much like I did with Hand of the Eight a bajillion years ago.

These will mostly be drop-in adventures in the Dungeons/Lairs style you all know and love, so you can easily use them in your stuff.

The first adventure will be level 1.
