Poll #474 - Which formatting style do you like best for new Broadsword?
Added 2024-12-11 16:48:20 +0000 UTCHey all,
I've got two formatting styles I've been using for content lately, both pulling from old school looks. I'm trying to decide which one I like better. So, I thought I'd poll all of you.
In case you need a reminder, here they are:
1) Ravenloft-Style Black Border Formatting
This spread has the black textured borders, titles in the header and page numbers centered in the footer. It only uses two columns. This is what it looks like as 7.44" x 9.69" (Osprey size), but can be adjusted to fit 8.5" x 11".
So there's no confusion, this version would have art, too. I just didn't include it in the screenshot. ;)
2) Dungeon Magazine-Style Formatting
This format is based on the old Dungeon Magazine early 90s era formatting. It uses some stylistic headers and footers, and has three columns instead of two.
Pick the one you like best.

You can still get the art in the 2 columns but it will have to take up more or less page size either full page or half page width. My eyes are old, so I prefer to be able to read the content, but with PDFs you can always zoom in and out. If printed on paper, then the two column may be best for me.
