Perched atop a precarious mound of steel girders, rocks, and sand, is the small community of Wormfoot. Surrounding the encampment is a palisade cobbled together from scrap metal and discarded materials, offering a semblance of protection against the harsh environment and any would-be intruders.

At the heart of Wormfoot lies a large pond of precious drinking water, a rare and vital resource in this wasteland. The Heap People of Wormfoot guard it fiercely, knowing that their survival hinges on its purity and availability.

The village takes its name from a grim tale of its founder, who stumbled into a nest of bloodsucking worms. The encounter left him so grievously injured that both his feet had to be amputated. This story has become a part of the village’s identity, a reminder of the dangers that lurk in every corner of their world.

The inhabitants of Wormfoot are a hardy and often foul lot, known for their deep suspicion and dislike of outsiders. They wear frayed ropes around their necks to resemble the worms from which they take their name, a symbol of their shared history and resilience. The majority of the Heap People here are of hob-stock, rugged individuals well-adapted to the harsh conditions of Zalgul-3. However, a few stray gobs and bugs also call Wormfoot home, adding to the community’s diverse and rugged population.
