Carved dolls filled with medicinal herbs, sometimes punctured with nails or claws, meant to be inhabited by a spirit for protection, justice or vengeance. Also similar to the voodoo nganga, but in West African culture, a Nganga was the person who made Minkisi, like some kind of shaman. I know the voodoo versions got mixed with Catholicism, so there are a lot of differences.
