[Call for Suggestions] Port Erroneous and its surrounding areas.
Added 2024-07-26 17:45:56 +0000 UTCHey all,
I'm working on the new setting which will tie directly into the MEK BORG and STEEL PSALM lore. We're designing the region around the city of Port Erroneous on the dump planet of Zalgul-3. Originally a battleground for the fallen hegemonies, it's now covered in great heaps of junk discarded by the four great factions as they vie for control of the dying universe.
Today, I want you to help me plan the different areas of interest and sites around Port Erroneous. In the comments below, give a brief description of a terrain feature, landmark, settlement, or something else you think would fit into this sci-fi/fantasy environment and I'll add it to the map.
Not everything will be included and precedence is given to higher tier patrons.
I look forward to your suggestions!

An ornate lighthouse - but because of a changed landscape it is no longer at the coast of the sea

2024-07-29 16:24:59 +0000 UTCOk I had a few ideas. Titan-Catapillar-20 Encountered, slain, & then taken as a trophy by Kazak, it was a MASSIVE fucking mech. Colossal even. City-sized footprint, as tall as it's wide. You'll never guess what the silhouette looked like. The crater from the naval cannon that took it out left a massive gaping hole in the back & a lot of ruined machinery inside. Then when it crashed down the Mek got fucked up in entry from orbit, before it landed feet first, crushing anything inside not destroyed already. Apparently a thin layer of salvageable tech was left in the middle, but that's gone now. Big fights here in the opening days of the war, stripped it out, all that's left is a scorched husk full of broken machinery & the crumpled slagheaps that used to be legs. Big trade town on the back, with small fortress jutting out the crater, Ad-Hoc Foundries around the legs. Lots of banditry & associated work here, after all, the broken hulk is still worth a kings ransom in Scrap. They've stripped so much metal out of the beast's cavernous guts now that you can just drive right in, seen some pretty heavy meks fighting around the creaking pillars. Building an ever growing shanty town on the back of a wreck you're actively hollowing out sounds like a fantastic idea & I'm sure they'll keep their greed in check to stop the whole thing from caving in. I'm sure. Idk who runs it, Heap People? Would that fit their lore? Someone runs it.
