One of the main entrances to the labyrinth beneath Mount Blackstone is through the remnants of an ancient, collapsed tower known as Grimspire Keep. This tower, once a formidable bastion of a forgotten human kingdom, served as a strategic outpost guarding the mountain's secrets. Over centuries, the tower fell into ruin, its upper levels crumbling while its subterranean dungeon levels remained largely intact. These dungeons, known as the Shadowed Depths, extend over 500 feet into the earth and are filled with intricate traps, forgotten treasures, and lingering dark magic from the tower's original occupants. After the tower's collapse, the Shadowed Depths became a favored hideout for bandits and dark mages, further complicating the treacherous descent into the tunnels. In the last two decades, adventurers have braved these depths, using the Grimspire Keep's ruins as a gateway to the sprawling underground network, each seeking the elusive path to the lost city of Dûrmundar.
