Being son to James and Lucinda Cortez, the wolf cub grew up in a broken home.

His grandparents told him that his father abandoned him and his mother when he was only 4 years old, but the truth was a different matter.

Unable to take proper care of him, Lucinda handed him over to his grandparents, Björn and June Wolfram, with whom he had a happy childhood and suffered no needs. 

As James grew up, he developed quite an admiration for his grandfather who was quite the gentleman. His Grandpa also owned a tailor workshop where Jimmy worked in his early years, helping to crunch the numbers. Jimmy always had a head for numbers.

As an aside, mostly large men frequented his Grampa’s shop, something that started some sort of admiration for them in the little pup. It was something he didn’t understand much at his young age, but he discovered more about it in his later teen years.

When the time came, Jimmy studied accounting with the hope of being able to care of his Grandpa’s business, but for several reasons (especially work-related ones) he ended up thinking about moving to the city. 

After Papa Björn’s passing, he wasn’t sure about leaving, but when he got notice that his mother was coming back, a person he considered abandoned him, he was not ready to confront her. Scared of the situation, he made a quick decision and moved away. Jimmy was afraid to leave his Grandma alone. Luckily, one of the former clerks and apprentices to his Grampa, Mr. Lutrero, took over the care of both her and the shop.

He started working for the local tax law offices. It wasn’t long before he earned the trust of his boss, Mr. Wooley, and his coworkers for his dedication and sense of responsibility.

Then came the day when Mr. Wooley, his boss, gave him a special task.
