Poll #292 - Name our Sword & Sorcery World
Added 2023-01-17 23:30:51 +0000 UTCOh boy, it's poll time! (I love polls.)
Now that we're going to be creating adventures set in our new dark fantasy/sword and sorcery world (don't worry, Dungeons & Lairs will still be setting agnostic), I need a name for the world.
After all, Dark Sun has Athas, Mörkborg has The Dying World, and Conan has Hyboria.
And like those other settings, this is a dark, awful world filled with crude cronies serving diabolical, vile wizards, wretched, aberrant gods, and terrifying, unspeakable monstrosities. The average person struggles to find their way in the world. And those who don't know the song of steel sow the earth with their bones.
Below are some randomly generated names.
Pick the one thing you think sounds coolest.

Omeria is shelved right now while I enter my moody, punk-rock phase following the OGL kerfuffle.

2023-01-18 22:58:53 +0000 UTCNo such thing in RPGs. I mean, there's monsters called... rust monsters. :D

2023-01-18 22:58:35 +0000 UTCI'll step out of voting on this one - "a dark awful world..." etc. sounds like something I'd have zero interest in playing/using. Nothing against those who do, so best of luck, but not my thing personally. What else will there be going forward?

2023-01-18 03:20:05 +0000 UTCI mean, if you go with Helkara, You can literally tagline every adventure with "Welcome to Hel' >:D" and its not canonically weird to say 'What the Hel are you doing!?'

2023-01-18 00:48:10 +0000 UTCWe could pull a Dragon Age, The Sword & Sorcery Setting, “Thesass”. Hm, no…maybe it needs an apostrophe somewhere.
