One Word Prompt #72 - War in the Sun

I've got a pretty cool thing I'm working on that features mass scale combat. Except, it's a bit like a choose-your-own-adventure, where each failure and success you accrue leads to one of ten possible endings.
But before we get there, we need the choices and encounters. That's where you come in.
In the comments below, list a single word related to fighting a war in the desert (or any word you fancy, really). I'll use those words to generate the results.
