Sorcery is a mixed bag, granting certain blessed individuals powerful arcane abilities. However, there are a few instances where a sorcerer might actually become blessed with "too much magic." When this occurs, the blood itself becomes sentient and escapes the sorcerer (typically killing the sorcerer in the process). These wild magic storms appear to be small, floating clouds of blood that crackle with arcane energy.
Once freed of their host, the wild magic storms set out looking for more magic to feed upon. Meanwhile, they continuously erupt with harmful magical effects that unravel the very fabric of The Real around them.
Thankfully, very few of these creatures exist. And the ones that do appear are quickly put down by Aspaethan hunters, Anorian gun mages, and other specialized fighters trained to handle such aberrations.
