[366 Days of Monsters] Days 207-210 - Bone Eaters

Smaller bone eaters (lesser and mundane) appear to be undead skeletons. The actual ooze component of these creatures is reddish, projecting the illusion of rotting musculature. Of course, their true ooze-nature is revealed when they grow to Large or larger sizes. Still, many Omerian borrowers and abjurers assume that these horrors are reanimated skeletons and make the poor choice of using magic that works against undead on them. Imagine their horror when they discover that bludgeoning damage actually splits them into two separate, smaller bone eaters.

Fortunately, bone eaters are usually only found in locations heavy with inaks, leading many Pexian Aberrationists and Warriorbrood gunmages to believe that they are a byproduct of the inak's unusual method of "breeding."

It should say "greatest bone eater" but otherwise, the monster count is fine. Glad you like the others as we'll be doing a big setting in Vaskil Valley, near Inak territory soon. :D

Is the level up bite from Greater to Greatest correct here? "If a humanoid dies from this attack, the bone eater absorbs the creature's bones. If the bone eater absorbs two Small or Medium humanoids or one Large humanoid using this attack, it transforms into a greater bone eater." But thank you for this one, I was trying to think of something scary that can't be reasoned with to put in an undercity, which conveniently already had Inaks and morlocks, and this solved my plot dilemma.

It's beautiful
