This creature resembles a larger-than-normal, red-furred fox with nine-tails. Its eyes shine with intelligence.
Kitsune are rare sights throughout Omeria. The few seen are usually spotted around Xennem Dynasty and the forests near the northeastern coast. The Anorians of Imfe Caan Asaari share legends of these beasts helping the exiled elves during The Great Migration.
The Brasuga and Roed'gope offer different insights, claiming that the kitsune of the Poisonwood are anything but helpful—some are downright wicked. An old Brasugan legend purports that a kitsune once entered a Brasugan cave complex in the guise of an elven woman. The kitsune lured the men from the cave and tricked them all into a glacier
of soft snow where they became trapped. Then, the kitsune and its mogui companions raided the Brasugan cave, stealing their food supplies and riches.
Kitsune seemingly have no young, leading some to believe that there may only be a few of the creatures in the world, and that the few that have been seen throughout history are immortal. Some Anorian gunmages theorize that there is actually only one kitsune. This same kitsune is both an ally and a deceiver, two sides of the same fey coin. No one has ever caught and killed a kitsune or seen more than one in one place, so this theory might be true.
It's unknown whether or not kitsune actually require air, food, or water. While the kitsune enjoy stealing food and hunting, no one has actually seen one eat. They also are decent swimmers and can go underwater for long periods of time.
