Burrow of the Albino Werecrocodiles | New 11th-Level Adventure for Fifth Edition

Psst... Scroll Down. All of the free files are available for download below.

This adventure is optimized for a party of five characters with an average party level (APL) of 11. A well-balanced party will fare well against the werecrocodiles. Because much of the mission is “hack-and-slash”, having a cleric on hand to heal and remove curses will help make the trip through the burrow much easier, too.

Background

Lately, the Murktown Monarchs have seen their territory encroached upon by a gang of albino werecrocodiles living under the sewers. The werecrocodiles have been arming themselves with magical weapons and killing the wererats wherever they can find them. Some would argue that this isn’t a bad thing. Unfortunately, the werecrocs don’t limit themselves just to the wererats. The crocs have been capturing citizens from all over Murktown and imprisoning them in their secret burrow below the city. Only the wererats know the location. Should a group of adventurers enter the burrow and clear the werecrocodiles out, the wererats are willing to split the take of the werecroc’s treasure stash 50/50.

Overview

This is a dungeon crawl adventure that will take roughly five-to-six hours to play in its entirety. The adventure begins with a Call to Action scene detailed below.

Comments

I'm about to run this adventure for two people tonight. I have scaled the players up a bit and brought down the number of enemies in some rooms in the dungeon. I'm really excited to see how this goes!

Awesome! Looking forward to hear how the rest goes

Also we did not finish this. 7 hr in and they just got to the captain werecroc. It is a one shot and they have 2 life clerics, so I will have Diego be with the hostages and kill them in front of the players. I know they will be able to raise them again.

Just DM'ed this one. It is really good but the tight tunnels can bog down the fight to a crawl. And one of the players had the brilliant idea to cast shatter. I am realistic, so they pulled the whole dungeon except for Diego since he is too big and I don't wanna have him go Ogre form.
