Update on Physical Books

Hey all,

Just the latest update on monthly books for everyone.

Like many of you, I'm sure, I'm in self-quarantine with my family until the curve gets flattened a bit more. 

Just before entering quarantine, I had all of Book #4 packed and ready to go (they're literally right by my feet as I type). 

And as you've seen from yesterday, Book #5 is now ready.

However, there are some complications in shipping both of these books.

• In Norman, the city in which I live, we are on lockdown. Anyone caught out doing anything considered non-essential gets a whopping $750 fine. As much as I'd love to be considered "essential", unfortunately, that's just not true, and I'm far too LG to lie for my reasons being out of my home. At least during this crisis. ;)
• The books are printed through Amazon who has gone to essentials-only during the crisis. That means they're prioritizing things like food, baby stuff, medical supplies, etc. They can create non-essentials, but they're so stretched-thin right now, I'd rather not gum up the works. That's the G of my LG side.
• The books are also shipped via media mail. Media mail is drop-off only (see bullet #1). I could lie and throw in a flat service or something to get them to pick the rest up, but again, that'd just gum up the works on a service that's already stretched hella thin.

Now, for those of you getting physical books: no worries. You get credit for everything you purchased and as soon as everything lifts, I plan on sending you everything you're owed all in one shot. The funds are escrowed and just waiting. And like I said #4 is already here and ready to go.

Also, until this lifts, I'll be allowing those of you at the Gold tier and higher direct requests for adventure recommendations. For now, I'll be a little slow on getting those out, but I do plan on stepping away from the day job later this month. This opens up 40-50 hours per week for me to create new content. So I'm very excited about that.

Finally, because I've had some piracy issues, the back catalog will be getting locked up and only those of certain tiers will have access to older issues, PDF packs, etc. I'm not crazy about doing this, but too many folks have been coming in, paying once, and then bailing after they download everything. Having recently discovered my books on popular streaming sites, this is just one of those things that'll have to be done (unfortunately). TLDR: you'll have full catalog access.

Anyways, thanks to all of you who have remained loyal through this headache. I know it's not easy times, and I understand if you have to dial things back some. Just know that I'm still on the same trajectory of trying to provide the absolute best product that I can with more  content, more art, and more fun.
