[Call for Suggestions] Barnemouth NPCs

Hey everyone!

I'm in the middle of writing up the next big adventure release and I need some details on NPCs that live and operate in the town of Barnemouth.

What I need: the NPC's name (I might slightly edit it to fit my normal naming conventions), job, and something unusual or interesting about the NPC. Feel free to name as many as you like, too. The more the merrier. Of course, there's no guarantee I'll use 'em all, but hey, I'll try to get in as many as possible.

Here's a description of Barnemouth for you:

Humans dominate the Fairknot village of Barnemouth, but it is also home to a considerable number of northern-based wood elves. These elves fled persecution by the northern orc tribe, the Drakescales. Barnemouth is the largest town along the Fairknot River before it spills into the north end of the Omerian Ocean. The town is known for its massive statue of Godefroi Barnemouth the Loving, a contemporary of Camor. Those passing through often comment that the statue does not look like a paladin, but more like an older, loving grandfather. Despite his years of service for the northern armies, this is how Barnemouth preferred to be remembered.

Interestingly, there are no temples in Barnemouth. At one point, the city was home to worshippers to Tholona the Dawn and Ilwyn, God of Summer. During the Cleansing that followed the War of Gnohr, the early Barnemouthers collapsed the temple. While the aggression towards religious worship isn't as strong as it was two hundred years ago, those who follow divine faiths— including paladins—are shunned by the locals. The Drakescale orcs have once again started their march south towards Fairknot River. Already, the town of Camor has reported attacks in the forests north of their village. It's only a matter of time before Barnemouth sees action.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Unless Duke really is that eccentric!

I'm sure you meant to type "till his land for the day". Putting down tile over the fields would be a much different task! First you'd have to dig out the clay, wash it, pound out any air inclusions, roll it to a uniform thickness, then glaze and bake it. You'd also need to prepare the fields by flattening them and spreading sand for the tile to sit on....

Duke is a simple farmer, he has a wife, kids and his old reliable dog herc, Duke will give lodging to any traveling if they are willing to tile his land for the day. What's so special about Duke you ask? Well Duke used to go on adventures all across omeria with his trusty dog and was capable and tough to boot. What class and how strong is he? Well just pray you don't ever have to find out, only those who get on his bad side find out...
