Goblins. Say what you want about the scruffy bastards, but they're tenacious. Having survived all eight previous incarnations of Enombath, the three major goblinoid races--gobbos, bugs, and hobs--are more numerous than ever. A bit like cockroaches aren't they?
Gorkil is a major goblinoid habitat south of the Bog of Hingwell and just up the road from Tamor. They might stink, but overall, they're a civilized lot, capable traders, and somehow protected from the throes of Temlakos.
Currently, Gorkil rejects the charms of both the Confederacy and the Merchant Kings, preferring to do their own thing. Some are surprised by their avoidance of the Kings' influence. However, the Kings lack the iron grip over the Drakecrag roads that they possess in other areas of the Blackleaf.
Perhaps it's because only damn fools--goblinoid or otherwise--dare live and travel through the region.
Just one more patron and the entire Drakecrag region opens up!
