Character Preview: Hacker Oni

This character design was actually an adoptable I picked up from SadflowerHappy a while back; and actually so was Vivi, the zombie girl from the last character preview post.

Anyway, my first inkling actually wasn't to put her straight into LBB but use her as a boss and/or playable character in an action game. She's got them boss fight vibes. Maybe something Megaman-like where her stripes shift colors with different powers/weapons active; maybe being a Zero-like melee character with one of those spiked clubs.

Anyway though that sorta thing is likely a ways off if I ever get to doing it, so we decided to give her a backstory that'd let us drop her into the LBB setting and also still potentially be usable in that style of action game.

I actually hired a new writer recently and taking a crack at a profile for this Oni was one of his first assignments so let me show you what he came up with. Long story short, most Oni in recent pop culture are basically more like Japanese orc/ogres with horns; but this new writer decided to go *real* old school with it leaning more on Oni being more like 'malevolent spirits' with the sort of spooky ghost yokai powers that come with it. (Like the types of monsters/abilities you'd normally see in a Japanese horror movie). It wasn't what I originally had in mind but... It's probably cooler this way so will most likely roll with this approach. Let us know what you think.

What I do:

I hack people, organizations, whatever. For justice reasons. Usually. Oni are supposed to do things like that, though really we have no oversight what-so-ever.  I try to keep old lady groups from getting their identity thefted sometimes. Othertimes I do evil shit to bad people. Despite the hacker reputation, I only do pointless evil stuff for fun to already stupid things like automated cars and dating sites. The most private thing I’m willing to admit on here:

My original spirit was a crazy old man in feudal Japan who did a lot of fucked up shit about 900 years ago. I can’t remember what he (or I?) really did. Then he died and they turned him into me as the ole Oni punishment. He is still technically me, except not really. I’ve always existed.

I know. Impossible spirit math.

The first thing people notice about me:

I don’t meet IRL often, so I don’t really know. A lot of you DM me about my hair and ass though.

People say I’m difficult and hard to read. I think they’re just expecting me to be more mortal LOL.

Six things I could never do without:

-The internet.

-Mortal bodies.

-Hyperlinks.

-Ergonomic keyboard.

-Open source libraries and tools.

Guess I only need five things.

Favorite foods:

I don’t eat food like you eat food. I’m open to going to a food place though. I haven’t visited many restaurants. I find them sort of funny. Those NFC debit card readers are really vulnerable too.

Dislikes:

Other Oni. Been there. None of them want to get on a computer unless it’s smothered in peaches and blood.

I don’t need distant partners. Someone has to lighten the conversation when I enter a malevolent trance. I don’t need a social butterfly, but know how to pivot.

Tiny mortals. I’m big. Be closer to me sized. I don’t like mice.

Beans being thrown at me. Same for sardine heads. Sorry mystics. Not my thing.

Non-negotiated possession. If I want to control your bodily autonomy, then I will bring it up and we will talk limits. Do not suddenly expect it to happen because you are projecting some kind of monster fantasy on me. Don’t ask me for this unless you want to get your profile reported.

Weird Hell comments. I know Hell. It’s an okay place to live.

Don’t try to understand all the Oni things. It’s okay that some of them are vague and contradictory. They confuse Oni too.

Turn Ons:

Warmth. Heat. Things that spend time in the sun. Freckles. Tanlines. Things that eat and drink. I find drinking very erotic. I like warm liquids like baths and saunas and other things. Big heavy blankets. Fire. Blushing. Sweat. The living.

Don’t be shy about sex. Want it when you want it. Desire is good.

You write good code, but your ego is not attached to that.

You like when things get a little fucked up.

You’re ephemeral and going to die one day. Very not immortal.

Consensual possession.

I’m looking for:

Someone open minded, maybe funny, who is down for a one time fuck and hang kind of thing. Open to more, but needs to be comfortable with time inbetween and anything else happening slowly and unpredictably. Preferably morally loose and very experienced in bed. I like big warm bodies, but if you’re skinny we can also just squish a pillow between us LOL.

Take me to do a mortal thing! I don’t really know my way around most places. I tend to pop up somewhere new every time I exit the demon gate, so I’m as much looking for a good guide as a companion.
