Status update - 2018-05-08

More on time this week. :-)

What I recently did:

GoogleVR versions 2D/VR Switching

I made a VR app for a client back in 2016 and one of the features was a on-screen button (in the corner) to switch the cardboard version between VR and non-VR. This is no longer possible as I had to find out. There is no way anymore to have a non-VR overlay in VR mode. So I decided to present the user with a choice in my startup scene (the one with the logo). It took a bit to make it correct, as the choice is only to be presented when running with only a cardboard (or no headset at all) and it should just be in VR when on a daydream or when started through the VR portal.

Preparing store material and website

I started with the store entries. Wrote a few text, noted what kind of images they require, etc. Nothing exciting to report.

Oculus Go

I ordered and received the new Oculus Go. I think it is great, especially with that pricetag. Only a few months ago I ordered myself a standalone VR headset and it went for nearly as much. It wasn't great, but okay-ish. But the Go has awesome performance, good visuals, is comfortable on the head and offers a lot of content (virtually everything you can get on the GearVR).
I need to do use it some more and have yet to put MMM on it. Soon!

What I hope to accomplish this week:

A new mind massage

I want to do another mind massage session. Theme is simple "Feel Good", lightening up the mood, maybe thereby removing some stress, things along that idea. (I also need to update the PowerNap, I'm still not completely happy with that).

Finalizing GoogleVR versions

I still have to improve the reticle I use as well as some polishing. Luckily these things are quite universal, so it's going to benefit all other vr versions.
