Status update 2018-04-24
Added 2018-04-24 06:44:50 +0000 UTCI missed the status update twice again… *sigh* I"m sorry and hope I'll get better at this.
What I recently did:
New Version 0.10.1
Alpha and Beta supporters got v0.10.1, which mainly contained bugfixes
Platform Release planning
I read several documents by Google, Oculus and Valve to get an better understanding of the VR platforms and shops. I now know enough to go forward in this matter. I also have a better plan for pricing and store content. (Patrons who at least supported the final store price will get a key for free downloading, of course.)
2D/VR Switching
I implemented a first way to switch between VR and 2D mode. This way I'll be able to release on iOS Store and GooglePlay with only one binary that handles both modes. I'll refine that when working on those release candidates.
What I hope to accomplish this week:
GoogleVR versions
I started using the official GoogleVR plugin for Unity which allows me to better support Cardboard and Daydream (including the controller). This will result in a first release candidate for the iOS Store and Google PlayStore.
Fixing my Rift
My Oculus Rift is currently broken, the screen stays black, forever. I contacted Oculus and hope to be able to fix it. Worst case would be having to get a brand new one…
Preparing store material and website
Tthe store entries will need screenshots, texts and more. And it is time to prepare an official website for the Mind Massaging Machine. This will be the website for the store version, no mention of kink or erotic hypnosis. While on it I hope to update the seriously outdated infos on mindmeltingmachne.wordpress.com as well as things here on Patreon.
