Concept Art: A City of Monsters
Added 2020-11-06 01:15:30 +0000 UTCWe've been kicking around the idea of setting the Little Black Bestiary series around a central hub location: A sprawling metropolis city akin to NYC or Tokyo which is made up of several districts that cater primarily to the needs/culture of different types of monster races.
Here's some concept sketches for different areas. The odd one out is the one that looks like ruins, which isn't part of the main city but an abandoned former human city on the island where Momo lives. There's a shot of the city skyline, and then potential looks for a demon-run business district, an overgrown Elvish neighborhood and a partially underwater part of the city that caters to aquatic types.
And of course, our last post has a concept shot for the main city park, which is aiming to combine an 'enchanted forest' kind of feel with the standard amenities of a city park.
Anyone have any interesting suggestions for some more types of areas and places to include in the city?
