Lenore WIP #2

Here's the skirt half in one piece! While the mysterious medieval lady dress was all one solid piece, I combined TWO patterns to make Lenore. I could have made them one piece, but I opted to have a seam at the waistline A) to save myself some grief cutting the pieces out, B) to have less fabric piled around me when I attach the sleeves to the top, and C) BECAUSE HER BELT WILL HIDE IT!

I used Butterick 4827 for the top half (and the full medieval lady dress) and Vogue 1095 for the bottom, as I wanted a much fuller skirt than the first provided.

I also chose a size down in the Butterick pattern this time, as the blue dress is too big for me!

1. On my dress form with the medieval dress underneath to show vaguely how the top half will look. The skirt is very full, but I have nothing to support it at the moment. I added her belt and (hard to see on the dress form's fabric) necklace, made by FenixFatalist.

2. Close up of fabric. Glitter and quilting!

3-5. GIANT SKIRT PIECES! I accidentally cut the front side pieces a little too curved (I forgot to adjust the pattern to suit my project), so they were too short at the bottom to match the back side pieces. XD Fortunately, I am not very tall, so I should be able to hide it.

6. Press. Your. Seams. Also dig the inside of the fabric! I wanted to use my leftovers to make something with that side out... hmm.

7-8. The patterns I Frankensteined together.
