Hey, sorry about going quiet! Here's some progress on the dress I was workng on that was SUPPOSED to be Lenore but... became its own thing.
I serged the edges on all the finished seams on the inside to prevent the fabric from fraying - that's the thick white stitching all over the place. Then I sewed the lining into the collar to create a nice, smooth neckline.
Since I liked how much my belt looked with the dress, I decided to add some decoration around the neckline to match it. These beads are just a stand-in until I can eventually get to a store to pick something out.
I loosely stitched the sleeves on to check the fit. Then I got super excited and had to take a bunch of photos on the mannequin, hahaha. It really feels like it's coming together now! I took a picture of the side so you can see the little train. I haven't had a train on a cosplay before, so I will have to be careful not to trip on it or drag it through filth...
The sleeves hang so stiffly that it amuses me to look at it. xD
Then I immediately abandoned this poor girl to work on Lenore...
