It was one of those nights were I couldn't sleep. My mind kept on racing when just a few moments ago I was almost passing out on the couch. It was rare but I hated when it happened. At least he was still awake reading his book. "Can't sleep?" He asked without looking away from his book. "No, it's one of those nights my brain decides to think about all the cringy stuff I did 5 years ago" "Oh boy, you're going all night then!" He cheekily said flipping the page he was on. "I swear to god...." He wasn't wrong but still. My body wanted to sleep but my mind was all nope about it. So with enough energy to spend and time to kill I pushed off the blanket, and poked him on his side. "Hey..." He looked at me straight in the eyes and smiled knowing exactly what I was going to ask "Could you...?" "Sure, towel?" He asked getting up to stretch his arms like if he was about to start working out. "Nah, I don't think I'll need it." I wasn't really in that kind of mood, it was more to pass time and tire myself out. I took my shorts off and tossed them aside. "Alright." He said, and then he cracked his knuckles. I should've probably answered yes about that towel.
