In the tech world, it’s usually frowned upon if a leader doesn’t have all the answers. Saying “I don’t know” in response to a question they genuinely don’t know the answer to almost seems impossible.
In my practice, we use the following phrase often: “I come without shame, I come without doubt, I come without knowing.” By committing to and admitting to a mindset that allows the unknown to be unknown, we make space for the world’s mysteries to emerge, while also entering a space of realism and humility.
For today’s practice, practice admitting to yourself or someone else that you don’t know what you don’t know. Have the courage to honestly say “I don’t know.”
