BACKSTAGE Bonus Bits

Yo everyone, quick update on BACKSTAGE! Even though the comic is technically finished, there are a few additional things I’ve been tweaking behind the scenes. First of all there is an author’s notes page I plan to include in the public release as well as a little bonus scene I drew up for Twitter. Additionally I have decided to include a few different alt versions of the comic as well.

Currently there is the original version which was uploaded (The version I consider to be my preferred version of the comic) which is the colored pages that include the additional textures and ink scuff effects.

However if for some reason you prefer to just read it without any effects I’ve gone out my way to render out a “clean” version as well. The clean pages look like this;

I have gone ahead and uploaded all the pages as well as all recent patreon poll fanart pieces, timelapse videos and such onto my google drive so if you’re interested in checking them out you can over at the link:

There is one final version of the comic I’ve been working on as well, but am still tweaking a bit so it’s not quite ready for release. I also wanted to eventually do a black and white version as well. I have been trying out a few techniques including one that uses halftones for the shadows, but for now I can show you a sneak peek below.

Honestly one of the main reasons I really want to get a B&W version is because I would LOVE to do a self printed zine-style comic for this. Really would be perfect for a punk style comic too. ;)

Anyways, I’ll post more about this as soon as I have something I really like! Also, on top of working on some extra commissions this month I’ve also been doing pencils on the new artist comic so stay tuned for new stuff on that as well!
