Hi guys and gals,

this post offers you a collection of news about the next version of Holiday Island (0.5.0.0).
You can see the main focus and side areas for the next update in the above image.

The change log below is based on the release 0.4.5.0.

As of right now, the update from 0.4.5.0 to 0.5.0.0 has:
1043 additional renders, videos or sound files (only includes post worked, finished renders)
20 new backgrounds for the phone
153 updated renders or videos

New features, major improvements and new content

Joy, the winner of the titfight event will get a special evening and night with our hero -> will be part of 0.5.0
There will be a huge titfight event at the bar with all the specials and some guests -> will be part of 0.5.0
Joy gets a pole dance posing scene in the night bar's pink room -> will be part of 0.5.0
Mercedes gets a short event at the MC's where she invites him to the titfight event at the bar. -> will be part of 0.5.0
The listen to chat and rumors function will be very much extended. For details, please check this post -> will be part of 0.5.0
Jessica gets a new room service event with two achievements -> will be part of 0.5.0
Amy gets another "stay overnight" appointment at her room that's using the same base renders as her existing one, but with some new renders, an additional achievement and changed texts -> will be part of 0.5.0
A new sub location for pool billiard will be added to the night bar and Amy will get a repeatable scene with three achievements. She's wearing her special dress during the game -> will be part of 0.5.0
Desire gets a new drink scene at a table near the bar wearing her regular dress. The scene has three achievements and a story about a day at the beach with her twin sister Passion. -> will be part of 0.5.0
Desire will get a new nightbar drink scene on the red sofa wearing her sexy clothes. The scene will have three achievments with a story and a happy ending. -> will be part of 0.5.0
A new, extended intro dialogue will be added for all characters that have matching attributes (like body type, breast size or height). During the dialogue, the girls will get additional affection points based oon matching attributes. This will reduce the grind in the beginning of the game.

Added new introductory dialogs for all girls, depending on the player's choices in Joy's office at the beginning of the game. -> will be part of 0.5.0
Joy gets an appointment in her office where you talk about Miriam and Mercedes -> will be part of 0.5.0
Amy gets and event in the elevator with two achievements and a happy ending -> will be part of 0.5.0
Desire's workout pullups scene will be remade and a teasing achievment will be added -> will be part of 0.5.0
Desire's shower event has been rerendered and has four achievements now -> will be part of 0.5.0
Desire's scene at the gym shower gets two additional achievements with a happy endings -> will be part of 0.5.0
Desire's workout pecs scene will be rerendered and a lot of new images and a new achievement will be added -> will be part of 0.5.0
Natasha gets a remade workout pullups scene -> will be part of 0.5.0

Minor improvements and changes (inlcuding image upgrades)

There can now be mandatory appointments that will trigger automatically at any time of day. -> will be part of 0.5.0
The wait time between picture minigame messages hast been changed from two days to (on average) one day -> will be part of 0.5.0
Faye's pool exit scenes have been rerendered in 2560x1440 and webp format -> will be part of 0.5.0
Amy gest a short scene wearing her special evening dress and walking along the hallway with the MC -> will be part of 0.5.0
Desire's room service images have been upscaled and the animations have been improved -> will be part of 0.5.0
Several pictures have been added to Yumiko's "Guess Who" game. -> will be part of 0.5.0
The code for girls to send messages for appointments has been rewritten and improved -> will be part of 0.5.0
Mia will send a couple of bikini pictures and some text to the MC's phone -> will be part of 0.5.0
Renée gets a personalized introduction on her profile page -> will be part of 0.5.0
Alice gets a personalized introduction on her profile page -> will be part of 0.5.0
Brenda gets a personalized introduction on her profile page -> will be part of 0.5.0
Delizia gets additional character sprites posing her behind at the bar -> will be part of 0.5.0
Jessica gets additional character sprites showing her emotion for all her outfits -> will be part of 0.5.0
Aly gets additional character sprites showing her emotion for all her outfits -> will be part of 0.5.0
Jessica's pool sunbed scene has been rendered again and new images have been added. Dialogue has been rewritten as well. -> will be part of 0.5.0
Jessica's pool pose scene will be upgraded to 2560x1440 resolution in webp format -> will be part of 0.5.0
A quick access button has been added for the player stats -> will be part of 0.5.0
Scroll bar sizes have been increased and a littel more space has been added to make the game navigations easier to use on small devices like mobile phones. -> will be part of 0.5.0
Renée's scene at the nightbar in the green room gets an extension (additional position in the couch) -> will be part of 0.5.0

Bug fixes

When Amy shows up during Yvette's weight lifting scene when you adjust the weights, a black image is shown -> will be fixed with 0.5.0
When asking for an erotic massage and one of the checks (lust, love, affection) failed, the game got stuck -> will be fixed with 0.5.0
In some cases, not all "guess who" pictures were shown -> will be fixed with 0.5.0
A bug has been fixed where you could get stuck during Miram's breast quest -> will be fixed with 0.5.0
Mia's event where she leaves the island could be triggered before her lab scene at the pool -> will be fixed with 0.5.0
The arm wrestling icon in the night bar wasn't showing all available scenes -> will be fixed with 0.5.0

The version that has been released is the beta tester version. It will always contain bugs and game issues, so it is only for the internal game testers. Once the test is done and bugs found in the testing are fixed the (playable) release version is made. A separate post is made when that happens and contains the download links. What the current info can be used for is knowing that the full release here on patreon is likely to happen within the next week as the beta test tend to be fairly fast (some days)

Oh, SO close and yet so far! Is the chat and rumors actually done? I keep checking the link and it seems that it is finished, but there's no confirmation of such. I know you're close on the last Joy scene as well, and I'll be honest. I'm once again turning blue holding my breath for 5.0 to be released! I'm going out on my all too familiar limb and say by the end of April since I couldn't get my birthday this month. I really hope I'm right this time! LOL

Oh! I don't know if anyone has brought this to your attention yet or not, but.... I've encountered a bug multiple times. When I chance upon the event with Amy m*sturbating in her room, the moaning sound effect gets glitched and continues indefinitely (even after the scene ends, and it continues if you save after the scene and then re-load to that save point). This has been consistent over the past couple of updates, so I thought I should mention it since I haven't seen it discussed here yet! ANYway, I'm so excited for the 5.0 update--can't wait!!!! :D

Yep, no release date has been announced. However, we know we're getting close! I think a couple of weeks ago it was hinted that a release date would be coming soon, and back in January a March release date was implied to be likely, soooo... keep your fingers crossed, friends! :)

Hm, afaik Daniela will only be a guest at the titt fight night. And the patchnotes are not revealing any other new contend for thouse two. But, since they are important for the story and her quests are still open, I'm very sure we will hear from them in the future main quest updates again.

Look at the bottom of your Traceback. See where it says Holiday Island 0.4.5.0? That indicates the version of the game you are playing. You need to install the latest version, 0.4.5.1 which includes all the bug fixes. See if that doesn't resolve your issues.

Thank you for the breakdown in the update list for the titfights. It makes it much easier to understand what you're doing and how much longer it will take to complete. Looking forward to it early in the new year! I have to say I've noticed our beloved Yvette isn't really going to be a big part of this update. I realize she's already got a lot in the game, so I understand. It just seems that all the others are getting some kind of new part in this one except her. Usually there is an at the bottom of the post stating 'NO IDEA' which is the default work in progress status. It does not change until shortly right before a release, usually 3-5 days before. Tracking of actual progress is therefore done watching the ‘Development News’. When 'No Idea’ changes, the game is ready and enters beta testing. After beta testing is complete an actual release date will be provided. My guess is before Christmas if all goes well.

Sit with the girls during a meal and at the bottom of the screen will be 4 action icons. The one on the far left, is 'Listen to Chat and Rumors'. Click on it and you can hear the girls discuss a multitude of things. Often you can learn info about other girls, like their measurements, just to name one.

LOL, well, it's been an interesting first week. Tuesday, the pipe leading into my toilet burst while I was out and I walked in to about 4 inches of water throughout the entire apartment, with the pipe still gushing like Niagra Falls! I've never seen anything like it! I'm still trying to get the carpet dry after a water-vacuuming company came and got 500 gallons sucked up! Even then, the carpet was still wet. Not damp, but WET!! There's really nothing about her I find attractive, but I would choose her over Eva, if that's saying anything. As for Sara, her eyes really seem "spooky" to me. With Desire, it's her whole face. It's nowhere near as bad as Ivy's old face, but she still doesn't have the prettiest face. I don't think there's anything wrong with Sara though. I like her as she is. Ivy was completely remade. New face, new body and new textures. I won't do it again. It's really boring, takes way too much time, and overall it's not worth the effort.

Yes, the yellow is her skimpy bikini, but try it with the flowery one too. Sometimes the walkthrough isn't entirely accurate. You may have to go through another beach scene with her, but make sure she wins the next contest whether it the wet t-shirt or butt contest. Either way, she'll end up in your room and you should be able to continue the quest at that point.

This is what I found on the walkthrough I have: HOW DO I START THE QUEST TO FIND OUT ABOUT EVA'S BREASTS AND COMPLETE IT? To start the quest, take a walk on the beach with Eva, when she is in her skimpy bikini. Take a closer look at her and she will tell you that she always wanted to have big breasts and had operations to make that happen. After that, let Eva win the Best Butt or Wet T-shirt contest, and if her affection and love are high, and you succeed at your charm check, she will reward you with a date in your room. This is one scheduled appointment you do not want to miss as it is not repeatable. When the time comes, she will knock on the door in a tight black coat holding a bottle of champagne. While you secure the champagne bottle, she will shed the coat and relax on your bed in her negligee. You will then be so bold to ask her how her breasts got so big. She will tell you that her former boyfriend's rich father paid for the operations, but it was Joy who fixed everything so that her breasts are actually natural. Again, this part is not repeatable even though her coming to your room and rewarding you is, when she wins another contest. To hear the rest of the story, you must first talk with the receptionist to learn when Joy comes to the island again. Joy will come to the island sometime after day 25 to meet with you in her office. During that meeting, she'll give you the technical details of what she did for Eva.

Impossible to do. A general use outfit has to be replicated in all a girls common content, at this point in time adding a single bikini is more than 1200 images or 2/3s of a year. Which is also the reason none have been added since the starting years of the game. Girls now a days might get an outfit to an event and then return to their normal the moment it ends

Not sure I understand your question, as when you save a game, it saves the game in whatever version you are playing. After you have installed the latest update and then load any of your 'saves' they automatically are updated to the latest installed version. If you want to keep the same save point, just save the game again. After loading the 'save' and waiting for it to update to the latest version. Hope that helps.

agreed ... I feel like this game hit version 1 years ago. I sometimes mentally drop the leading zero and think of the current version as 4.5. I'm excited for version 5.0! I hear version 5.1 will be "word perfect" ;)

The banner has not started out with a main focus area filled in for the first time and the Release will be Rel 0.5 It therefore seems almost certain the upcoming release will have a significant story and/or special element. But we are in the summer period so we'll have to wait a bit and see as even teasers for that kind of thing tend to take some time.

Indeed, although historically the version number has tended to lag behind as the base and girl content did not increment the version number much. Story, Specials and completions on the other hand do. So I would be inclined (ymmv) to say the game is a fair bit over halfway in terms of total work and the next story, specials and completions oriented releases will start to see the total work and version converge
