Really enjoy the calm yet jovial energy here. The expressions and interaction between the two puts a smile on my face, and the painting behind them somehow enhances the effect. Many lovely details to admire, from the wood grain of the frame, the pattern on the wall, and all the folds and creases in the fabrics of their outfits accentuated by light and shadow. Also very glad you liked the idea! Looking forward to what you do with it. For a new idea, perhaps someone's clothing getting caught on a rose thorn, leading to a bit of lighthearted mishap?
