The Weekend Watch - The Meaning of Life in 13 Minutes

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the amazing birthday messages, yesterday! It was a wholly Go(o)d day - spent in the presence of God at a temple that had a lovely garden (and butterflies, and cardinals, and jasmine flowers!!!), and then back home with my family and an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen, 'cause the chocolate crunchies in the middle are life.

Two things-

1. Yesterday's episode (about enlightenment) reminded me of a video that I totally forgot to share with you.  A video that helped me conceptualize enlightenment in a real way back in 2013ish. A video that I excitedly shared with a lot of (probably confused) family members. A video that I'm sure you haven't seen but will find invaluable. It's by an author named Chuck Hillig and it's based on his book, Enlightenment for Beginners.  I found the video (about 13 minutes runtime) to be much more powerful than the book due to the animations. It also seems that both the book and the video are based on his earlier book, The Magic King, a seeming children's book about the same topic, which I  thought was very well done (he used a 'King' instead of 'dots'.  Watch the video today and let me know what you think! And even if you're confused about the 'dot' stuff the first 10 times you watch it (I was hella confused, but could feel the truthiness of it), when you re-watch months later, or a year later, you'll smile and enjoy the fruit of the seed you planted today.

2. I don't watch shows, but when I do, it's Go(o)d ones. If you're in the market for a show that puts the principles we practice everyday into a storyline where the main character is being instructed to 'try to not try to relax', and to 'become like the sky and let the emotions move through her like weather," then Undone on Amazon Prime is for you.  While sick in bed I was browsing through Amazon to find something to watch and saw that a show I loved from 2019 was back with a second season! It also feels very complete. So you don't have to worry about a cliff hanger like the one I was left on a few years ago.  The animation style is unique and the timeline jumping, reality bending plot will give you a work-out, and likely a life-altering perspective shift.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I  did!
