I always figure people who are vegan object to either the taste of meat, or the fact that its killing animals to generate the food. You COULD make plants into completely new foods for people to eat. But here the target market is people who don't want to eat meat. So I don't get why same people would respond to the sales pitch "we did an impressive job making those plants taste and physically resemble those animal corpses you were so repulsed by the idea of eating". :)
