New year so I'm broke again but I'll be back in a month or so to laugh with the rest Never liked electronic park brakes. I still don't like them. Things on cars break all the time and at least if it's a cable I can feel what's wrong but you can't tell a switch isn't working until you see it fail, a light doesn't turn on or stays on and won't turn off, or something like that. In this case your car just doesn't engage the brake. A regular transmission at least has a park pawl. You shouldn't really depend on it but it does something at least
