Patreon TOS News

Ugh, what a week...

Patreon's Safety Team contacted us last Monday about a violation of Community Guidelines and Terms of Use.  After a few emails back and forth, we got a general understanding what the problem is.  Mostly, they have a very broad definition of "sexual abuse" and a very narrow sense of subjectivity.  Nonetheless, we are two lowly dependents and Daddy Patreon makes the rules.  So as long as we want to have a roof over our heads, we need to do what they say.

Long story short, we have to get rid of any content with anything non-consensual (including forced regression and things are the consensual but not explicitly stated as such).  As you can imagine, that's most of our library.

Good news!  Patreon doesn't mind you guys supporting us for what what we do!  We just can't have you paying for the products themselves.  This isn't a huge deal because all our content is free somewhere.  We can't legally link you to where that content is, but if you send us an email (pudding@thatmademe.gay) or join the Discord we will be happy to get you anything you need!

What changes are there to current content?
1.) Many of our story PDFs and ePubs are removed from the Patreon.  A tagline has been added to email us or join the Discord for more information on where those PDFs and ePubs are located.  You can also send us Patreon messages and we will try to help you however we can.
2.) I had to delete a lot of the Early Access WIPs.  Which... well, you guys don't really care about those.  Once the full story is out, they are pointless posts.  But a lot of really nice comments got deleted too. >_<  Comments like that really help motivate us and remind us that people like what we do.  Deleting them was... heartbreaking.

What is Patreon Exclusive?
Basically the same stuff that was exclusive before: Discord perks, Early Access stuff that fits within the TOS, and mini episodes of The Usual Bet.  Though we will be posting announcements on Patreon, I think most of our content links will be posted through Discord for that "two degrees of separation".  This whole thing has been stressful as hell and we don't want to deal with it again. >_< So get used to seeing a lot of "check it out on Discord" or "email Pudding for more information".  This also means you guys will be getting fewer Patreon emails.

What can you do to help?
1.) Continue supporting us, despite this inconvenience!  I find it personally and professionally satisfying to have all our content in one spot, but I am starting to realize that this will never be the case.  We set up a LinkTree account so you can find everything, which will hopefully make this transition a little less irritating.
2.) Join the Discord.  Seriously, you're doing everyone a favor.  It just makes distribution of information so much easier.
3.) We set up a SubscribeStar account as an alternative to Patreon, in case things get bad again.  We are NOT migrating to SubscribeStar or posting announcements like we do on Patreon (at least not yet), but it is integrated with current Discord tiers.  That is, if you don't use Patreon all that much but you use the Discord a lot, maybe consider switching over!  (Rates for us are about the same, but peace of mind is a little stronger on SubscribeStar).

That's it!  Sorry again. >_<
