Imari has been on a pleasure liner servicing a rich client, and unaware of that attack on the Stonecaller during her absence. The pleasure liner unexpectedly stops to picks up an young girl who apparently escaped from a slaving vessel, and Imari recognizes the mark behind her ear as a student of the Courtesan enclave on her home world. After a tryst with the girl that leaves Imari with the realization that she was trying to deceive her, she is relieved to board the transport back to the Stonecaller, but is in for a surprise... in fact, a double surprise.
