2024 End of Year reflection post + Changes

Hello. The year is almost over and you can bet your ass that I've been reflecting a lot on my art and my progress of doing this type of shit and I feel like I learned A LOT of shit when it comes to animation techniques and tricks however there is also a lot of shit that I can improve upon like adding sound design to animations and making animations less STIFF if that makes sense but I think what matters most is that I've got the hang of making animation and comics to release on a consistent schedule and its thanks to you guy's support that motivates me to continue making inflation animations and comics so I just want to give my thanks for the lot of you who continue to support me even if I didn't really post anything huge for a month or two.

Now for the changes part of this post, dont worry, there's nothing too bad in this section, just some changes.

First change is altering the 3 dollar tier a bit, as I get more and more popular, I get more and more support however the caveats of that is that there's more and more bad faithed actors who will post my non watermarked shit and claim it as their own without even linking my patreon and as much as I really fucking hate watermarking my patreon exclusive posts, it would seem that there's just been too many cases of this happening for me to simply just ignore so from now on, my comics will have a PATREON.COM/STEVICKAFTERHOURS at the bottom because if people are gonna steal my shit, I might as well still get something back from it, this same idea goes for the animation burst alts

However there is an alternative to this and that is me posting my paid exclusive shit as a paid gallery thing on Deviantart because the way DA works is that they are not responsible nor care if something exclusive from another site gets posted on theirs, I am a lazy fuck so the Deviantart thing is an option I am considering, however they'll be sold only as part of collections, basically the shit I've already been doing ever since patreon allowed me to individually sell posts but on DeviantArt, honestly I want to hear you guy's thoughts on the matter

Second thing is the amount of posts I make every week, I know my description says that I'll aim to release something every week on either sunday or monday however as I got better at making animations and comics, they also take a shit ton more longer to make since they're often 40+ renders and they have their own stories and shit so instead of expecting me to release something every week, from now on, expect me to release at least 1 animation every month and 1 paid exclusive comic/render and whatever the fuck I feel like making in between the month

Third thing is Pricing, dont worry, this has nothing to do with the tiers, at least not completely, Patreon in November decided to add a ton of shit and features and from now on, every post can be sold separately, I plan on making most if not all my past posts be able to be outright bought if you so choose to do so, unfortunately I cannot give anyone a discount to that shit even if you're a supporter, I wish that was an option but unfortunately its not, also some of my posts cannot be sold because turns out, the more Questionable posts regarding consent cannot be sold which is fair enough

I dont plan on changing the price of the tiers at all, the only reason I'd change it is because of ironically, inflation, even still, I think the prices of the tiers currently are fairly fair for what you can get in a month, some people charge like 15 bucks as the "recommended" post which is a bit too much in my opinion and that is why 15 bucks is the GIGA tier, I've had an idea to make a tier above the 15 dollar one for a while now but I legit cannot think of anything that would be of benefit to anything, honestly I might just make a higher tier one as a joke

Related but I actually had 80 USD tier at some point that was limited slots where if someone chose it, I'd have to make a 10-15 page image sequence of their choosing, basically a commission tier, and it was up on my patreon for about 3 months before I decided against it because I dont want to do commissions, and also because unlike a normal commission, normally you'd have a choice whether or not you want to take a person's commission while this tier was just a guaranteed one and I'd have zero choice to take it unless I were to refund whoever bought it, some people are fine with that, however I am weird and I am not fine with that

That being said, if you have any comic ideas or suggestions, drop them in the suggestion section of my discord server and I might make a comic about it, there you can go in depth if you choose to do so, however you do have to be a patron to access the channel
