Looking for some more feedback to try to get some better content rewards out to you guys. I know I changed them just a few months ago but with the chaos of the world around us I'm having to kind of roll with the punches and I don't want to just NOT provide you guys with at least some little perks for the higher levels of support so I'd rather change a system even if its been changed recently than keep offering rewards I can't fully back up right now.
So first off, as a reminder anyone that had outstanding Dragon Dollars i have not forgotten you! I still have all of that documented and still plan to reimburse you in some way for those. It is on my to do list! Don't think I've left you out to dry, I'm just still struggling through this writers block and commissions and request stories are hard for me right now and I don't want to try to force out subpar content for something that is supposed to be either a paid product or a reward for you guys just so I can cross it off my To-do list. Y'all deserve more than me phoning it in.
So on to alternate rewards!
Right now the main rewards for the $10 and $25 tier are early commission access and commission discounts. As i can't really reliably do commissions right now I'd like to change those to something I feel more confident I can deliver on. As I'm (surprisingly) having success working on this interactive story i was thinking of tying it to those rewards brackets. I'd also still like to try and find something else i can do with the $5 tier to make it more rewarding. Any feedback you guys can give I'd greatly appreciate.
Here are some of the thoughts I've had for possible rewards. Let me know what you guys think or feel free to suggest other ones.
-Patrons of a certain tier can vote or request a specific path of the interactive story be continued or expanded upon and i will then focus some of my efforts on that area in particular
-Patrons can have their characters Cameo in future chapters of the interactive story. (Limited to original characters only. Sorry, can't add copyrighted characters like pokesonas! don't need nintendo or other companies on my ass, haha)
-Patrons can request specific chapter content or submit specific ideas for new threads or alternate paths a thread can take
-Patrons can submit their own chapter to add to a specific thread and be given proper accreditation in the story and directly help it grow
-A Credits page added to the interactive listing all the people each month that offered their support. Higher tiers could request things like shoutouts of thanks on twitter and such to help get their own name around
I'm also thinking of tying the release dates of the interactive to some of the rewards tiers and staggering it. My goal is to have a monthly release of a new version with at least a few new chapters. I was thinking something along the lines of:
-Leave $1 and $3 tier as is, with both getting early public stories and $3 and up getting patreon exclusive content
-$5 would get the interactive updates a month before they go public
-$10 and $25 would get the interactive updates two months before they go public.
Now that would mean I'd probably not have a major release of the interactive in february so i can get a bit of a buffer of content in case something happens and i can't write more for a month or something. But that way I'd have a tangible reward for the higher tiers and make the $5 tier more attractive.

I don't want to say that the story is out right dead because I would like to come back to it at some point but right now it is on an indefinite hold. I do plan to come back to it at some point but I do not have a date as to when I plan to start tackling it again. When I was working on it though I typically would release chapters a bit a month early here before they were posted publicly so everyone got them a month early. I've actually been toying around with the idea of maybe reintroducing some of those characters into the interactive and kind of integrating the two together but i haven't quite decided if i want to do that yet or keep them their own separate projects

2021-01-28 14:39:40 +0000 UTCI'm not sure it's related to the topic, but I have one question regarding the "Temptation" series. Last chapter was published a little more than a year ago now. I want to know if this story is dead and/or if you have lost interest in it. I'm asking because I like this series. Maybe new chapters could be released only on Patreon? I'm only suggesting.

2021-01-28 14:20:19 +0000 UTCI agree with the other comments that giving patrons extra say in the interactive is a good way to handle it. Obviously your time is important and I don't mind waiting for the chance to cash those Dragon Dollars! You focus on what's good first!

2021-01-28 04:01:09 +0000 UTCSince you're explicitly asking, I'll restate my idea of "people can submit story prompt" ideas, either for the interactive story, or standalone 1-2K sized stories. The "include a character in the interactive" as well is an idea I approve of, as I know of a certain lab wolf I'd nominate. :-)
