Commissions and Patreon Content for the future
Added 2019-03-01 12:38:15 +0000 UTCHey guys. so, something i've been mulling over the last few days is mother things i can offer to you guys as patrons (Mostly because I'm horribly insecure and have low self esteem and still am in utter disbelief you all are willing to support me like you are.) And one thing i was thinking about was commission exclusivity. Now I don't want to be one of those guys that only offers commissions to patrons, but I also (especially since my new Dragon Dollars system works for commission discounts) feel that you guys deserve some kind of priority for commissions.
So here's been my thought, and I would greatly appreciate any and all feedback from you guys.
From now on I'm probably only going to open commission slots 3 at a time. Especially with so many people asking for such long stories that I've only recently been able to comfortably manage i feel that it takes too long for me to finish them to justify letting 5 people be in the wings waiting weeks or months for their commission. And what I'm considering is that, when i open for those 3 slots, before I open them publicly i will offer ONE of those slots exclusively to you all, my patrons, first. I don't think it'd be fair to let you all have first shot at all three because then I feel I'd fall into being that patreon only guy i don't want to be. But i think giving one to you guys first would be fair. If more than one of you all want it we can do a raffle or something to try and fairly determine who gets it. Then anyone else would have to go for one of the public slots when i open those two.
Less sure, but another way of trying to make it less "Competitive" between you all was maybe restricting the early access to commission slots to people in the $10 and $25 tier slots that actually accumulate Dragon Dollars.
That way you all get an additional perk but i can still try to be as fair to everyone as possible.
So yea, tell me what you guys all think, or please feel free to offer alternate suggestions. I'm still really new at this and i welcome any and all feedback to help me make this as appealing and rewarding a relationship for both of us

That's a pretty good idea, gives a great perk without barring those outside the Patreon from having their own shot

2019-03-02 19:47:22 +0000 UTCI think tying commission slots into the upper tiers is a good move. As you said, those tiers give people Dragon Dollars, so it feels sensible to also give them something to use those dollars for.
