Exciting News! (for some)

So as I have made clear to many in my previous posts, the reason Poke H is put on ice is due to financial issues. This is sadly, still true. The main reason for this is due to my inability to monetize the game directly, due to it being a parody of big N's IP, and because the engine used to make it has T & C preventing me from charging players for early access. But that's all fair! I wouldn't feel good either charging people for a product i don't actually own, hence why we started work on Tower of Giruvegun, which was meant to fulfil that purpose.

However, for the past 8 months, we have not been able to secure a programmer for ToG, effectively putting that on hold as well. So all the work we've been doing setting up the game is now wasted effort until we can finally procure a Programmer who can work on the RPGmaker engine (specifically with editing Visustella plug-ins).

Now you might be thinking;
"What the heck, these are all bad news still. What's so exciting about it?"

Well, after much thought and consideration, as well as spending months procuring a crew of collaborators (and that includes an actual programmer!) I am ready to announce that a Visual Novel called Overthrown is now officially in production. The basic framework is up and ready, and the team is now producing assets in the works for the First official build of the game.

What is Overthrown?

Without spoiling too much, its our first original game (something we can finally monetize!) and its a kinetic visual novel that features high-fantasy medieval Kingdom management, a Lawful evil protagonist, 4 waifus of variety that you can spend lots of time getting to know, plenty of original OSTs, and (maybe) Voice acting! We also plan to release it on Itch.io and Steam!

We already have a new discord server up and running, but it won't be open to the public until the we release the first Chapter of the novel, and we estimate the release date to be around late August to early September, if there are no hiccups.

Now, I completely understand if many of you aren't interested. I'm aware that most of you support me because of Poke H, and kudos to all of you for standing by me these last 3 years. But maybe this novel will finally be our big break, as it will be monetizable (free to play for the public eventually of course, like you have access to earlier builds etc). On top of that, it will be mostly filled with what I love to do most; Draw, and write stories!

So here we are, no more leeching off someone else's IP, no more relying on surfing off a popular franchise, we are now free without restraint to create something that I hope you might all enjoy! More news coming soon!

(P.S. To reiterate, yes I want to continue Poke H, but its simply not plausible for me to spend countless hours to continue creating something I do not get paid for. Once I'm stable in the wallet, I'll be more than happy to continue. And to all my loyal patrons, thank you so much for your support! You've done more for me than a fella can hope possible! Fingers crossed that this will be the one!)
