Trivia of the day: TMNT was meant to be a parody for Marvel's Daredevil, proof of this is their origin story and villains being almost the same. The thing is, the creator didn't know it would be actually successful.
And from that dumb premise it was spawned a franchise with animations and Michael Bay movies.
