I know u asked the creator, but I wanna try my 2 cents. So if they all share the lungs, maybe one can take full control while the others don’t? Like the legs? ‘We all control the body, but I mostly control the left leg’ so like, maybe one head can just take full control of the lungs…….. how would a human drown if they didn’t need air in their lungs (bc some doctor put a machine in u, idk? Or ur lungs were being operated by someone else. Eh? See where I’m going?). Honestly, I see where ur coming from, but Idk. Wanted to prove u wrong 😁
