Hey all - I first of all wanted to welcome all of the new members to the Snowy's Maps community. I wanted to thank everyone for their ongoing support - it really means a lot to me! I also just wanted to give a lil bit of a background and intro to Snowy's Maps for all of the folks that have joined us this week!
First of all, a lil about Snowy's Maps! I started back in July 2022 and have been going a good three years already. I could never draw but had a strong imagination while playing DnD, and I've ALWAYS wanted to be able to share this with my party, but was never able to.
Snowy (right), with her two sisters: Poppy (middle), and Sparkle (left). Why Snowy? Snowy was a pet rat i had as a child/teen and absolutely adored. She was my best friend throughout the two short years I had her, and now she lives on through my online nickname, as well as the lil mascot who heads Snowy's Maps. People often mistake my logo as a mouse ...but no, she's a rat xD
Each month I make THREE main releases, on the 10th, 20th and 30th of each month - 2 sets of map packs and 1 DnD5e/PF2e compatible oneshot at the end of the month. Here's a little breakdown of this.
10th Release -> To keep the creative juices oozing, I will choose what I make for this release. Over the past couple of months this has been sci-fi themed, but again, depends on how I feel!
20th Release -> This is what the Snowy's Maps community would like me to make! Around the 25th of each month, anyone and everyone can suggest a map pack theme/idea and then the community votes for it!
30th Release -> And then finally, a paid members only oneshot compatible with DnD5e and Pathfinder 2e! This comes ready-to-play and no-prep with FoundryVTT but also includes maps, music, tokens, monsters and more.
With the map packs, I generally release around 2-3 maps a month for free members, 5-10 for paid members (with lots of extra variations), alongside all of the DD2VTT files and FoundryVTT modules. :D
Mini Maps Pack 2 - 10th September
Based on the original idea, where I release a series of maps smaller than about 20x20 in size. There will be 7 maps in this pack for all paid members, containing a variety of fantasy, sci-fi and modern battlemaps.
Example map from this pack - a mixture of fantasy, sci-fi and modern maps! Those who were paid members prior to September 1st (and those on annual memberships after this date) will get access to 3 bonus maps as an extra thank you for their long-term support!
Tobias' Guide to Survivin' 'n' Thrivin' in Dungeons - 15th September
I will then be releasing Tobias' Guide to Survivin' 'n' Thrivin' in Dungeons - a system agnostic zine for DMs for those at the Mage Master and Archmage tiers. This zine explores the different aspects of dungeon design, including some very interesting deep dives made by Tobias himself.
Front Cover :)Fantasy to Sci-Fi Dungeon - 20th September
A dungeon that goes from fantasy theme at the front to sci-fi theme at the back (so like a structure build by precursors that was then extended). This one I am still not 100% sure how to make but have some ideas, such as a modular dungeon design. ;)
Results from my Ideas Time poll for September 2025Paid members only oneshot - 30th September
We haven't completely decided what this one is going to be yet. I will likely share some updates throughout the month though. ;)
Thank you all once again for your support! I will be sharing some sneak peeks for the upcoming release VERY VERY soon!
