Snowy's Maps Limited Commercial License Agreement

1) Definitions of Terms.

a. Within this contract, ‘Content’ refers to any Maps, Assets and One-Shot Adventures created by Snowy’s Maps;

b. The ‘Creator’, ‘me’, ‘my’ and ‘myself’ refer to Snowy’s Maps.

c. ‘Commercial Tier’ refers to the ‘Limited Commercial Use’ tier on my Patreon, available for £10 every calendar month.

d. ‘Reselling’ refers to the selling of products containing content provided as part of this commercial tier, by a third party.

e. For the purposes of this agreement, ‘larger business’ refers to any business which generates more than £10,000 in revenue, per year.

2) Requirements and Licensing:

a. The content provided to you, under my commercial tier, is covered under a CAL-BY-NCR license. Details for this license can be found at: https://cartographyassets.com/license/.

However, in summary, this means:

i. You may use any original content published by myself, both that I have provided for free and that is exclusive to this tier of my Patreon, for your commercial products. Details as to exemptions are detailed in (7).

ii. This content can be used in all projects related to tabletop roleplaying games, including, but not limited to, ‘oneshots’, paid campaigns etc. sold on sites such as DrivethruRPG and the DM’s Guild.

iii. You may make and share modifications, should you wish to do so.

iv. The reselling of my original content, and these modifications, is not permitted.

v. You are also required to mention the creator in a reasonable manner, in accordance to the specifications set out below in (5).

b. As a further requirement, beyond those outlined in the above license, all projects must receive approval from myself, prior to your joining of this Patreon tier. In order to discuss your project, please contact me through the following avenues, using direct messages (DMs) when applicable:

i. Should my content be used in a manner not discussed and agreed upon, as above, I reserve the right to cancel your pledge, and dissolve this agreement between us, effective immediately. You shall receive a refund for your most recent month’s pledge, should this occur.

3) Streaming and YouTube:

a. As with my other tiers, you may use any free or exclusive content that you have access to, on any streaming services such as Twitch and YouTube, and also within recorded YouTube videos, published within the duration at which you are pledged to the creator’s commercial tier.

4) Attribution:

a. As highlighted above, you are required to mention the creator in a reasonable manner, in any and all instances of their content being used. Examples of reasonable attribution are as follows:

i. Example 1:

“This product was made using assets/maps created by Snowy’s Maps, whose content can be found at https://www.patreon.com/snowysmaps”.

ii. Example 2:

“This product was made using assets/maps created by Snowy’s Maps (https://www.patreon.com/snowysmaps)”

5) Important Notes:

a. This agreement applies to individuals that pledge £10/Month, and join the ‘Commercial Use Tier’ of my Patreon, found at https://www.patreon.com/snowysmaps.

b. Once you subscribe to my commercial tier, this agreement applies to any product you create with my content, going forward.

c. If, at any time, you end your pledge to my commercial tier on Patreon, you may not produce any new commercial products using my content. All products created and published during your pledge, and prior to ending your pledge, will remain covered by this agreement.

d. All content published by Snowy's Maps, unless specifically stated otherwise, is and will remain the property of Snowy's Maps. However, the work you create using content published by Snowy's Maps belongs to you - you own the work you create using my content.

e. This agreement is subject to change. In the interest of transparency, you will be notified of any changes, should they occur.

6) Restrictions:

a. If you are running a large business, you are not authorised to use any of my content, and the above agreement does not apply.

i. Should you wish to discuss this restriction, or want to work out a paid license to use my content, please contact me through the avenues highlighted above in (2b).

7) Exemptions:

a. This agreement grants you a commercial license for my original content. This does not include any maps that are recreations of other mapmakers’ existing works, or officially published maps, such as those created by Wizards of the Coast and Paizo for Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder, respectively. Due to this, the following maps are not included, as part of this agreement:

i. Tree Stump Library

ii. A Fistful of Flowers Supplementary Pack

iii. The Road To Swordfall Maps

iv. Sundered Waves Map + Variations

v. A Few Flowers More - Free Maps and Module
