Thoughts about "Redraws"?

I'm gonna say the latest no-no word among artists, so brace yourselves.
A while back I saw a tutorial from the same place I get my KK patches, talking about how you could use Stable Diffusion to redraw Koikatsu images and make them look more traditionally 2D drawn. I followed the tutorial and it's been a fun side project when I bother to remember I have it.

I know AI art is one hell of a political position in the latest internet wars, but I find img2img or "redraws" kind of fascinating, and I've gotten a lot of fun results. (more lately since the software has improved somewhat. I need to see if there's a new version.)
Another nice thing about them is that I am mostly using my base image as a guide, which gives me a lot of (terrible in some way but still) pretty good results.
I don't let the program just cough out a redraw at me and think I'm good. Just like my KK images, I use a lot of photoshop for modifications and touch-ups, Normally combining good results of multiple images, fixing colors and general oddities, hand redrawing certain things that seemed impossible for the program to redraw.
I think the results are sometimes pretty nice... as long as hands aren't involved. (I try. And I usually fail. There's a reason hands are so infamous in the illustration community.)

I've done NSFW as well as SFW but ecchi, and I'm always wary about sharing them. I know I did that thing for making "realistic" versions of my main cast, but is anyone interested in seeing more anime versions of some of my characters? (I know there's gonna be a lot of Suki requests, but her most "interesting feature" is something these programs are TERRIBLE at replicating.) I would likely never make a comic using this method, so those aren't changing any time soon.
So far I've made a few of Hope, a couple of Daburu, some Sierra, a Xan/Cacyi image, and of course, this one I've posted everywhere already of Milori. Just in case you need a preview of what these might look like.

What I'll likely do with a post would be to explain what image it came from, how it rendered initially (if I still have one of the outputs) and what major changes I had to make in order to be what I wanted it to look like.

Imo AI is fine as long as you use it as a tool, and not as "Do that for me and that's it", plus the result is often uncanny as hell if there's not a real person fixing issues. Anyway, too bad for you but of course we'll ask for futa characters x)
