I don’t argue that you should have to. No judgement intended, apologies if I miswrote my comments, I meant it kore as how I view it and how I think that Patreon is meant to be - for me, I want to support the creator I chose to support through bad times if they have experiencing them, so that they will be able to continue or return to making content that I love. If you view it as a service, that’s perfectly valid.

It is my business what I do with my money? thanks for the valuable lesson. I'll support them while they're making content, that's fine. They aren't however making the content I subscribed to see currently. Therefore I don't wish to be subscribed. Judging me for it is pathetic, you do you.

Technicalities aside, I saw that Neil was providing early access to his reactions on his Patreon. I expected to get that, that's not outlandish in the slightest. Yes it's a donation platfrom, I mentioned elsewhere that "If it were a business I would have taken it up with the BBB". I am quite aware I donated not paid for a service due to that technicality since Neil is not the only beneficiary of the money. Well, my benefits I am paying for are not provided nor is there any contact from the creator, act like I am being outlandish for not wishing to pay for that if you wish, but that is nonsensical. I adore Neils content, it's a rare insight into the productions of shows and movies... But I'm not going to pay for the chance to have access to it if I don't know it's coming,

Agreed that Neil's gotta have a very good reason. And I hope it's nothing too bad going on for him. I'm sticking around. But I understand why others would be frustrated. And disagree with the notion that this is only a patronage support platform. When you join, it says, "membership" levels and benefits. Membership denotes provided services. The 1 or 2 dollar levels are for general suppirt. But higher levels promise specific things for your paid membership. Like I'm a member of AAA, pay money, get services. To say otherwise, especially the higher levels here, is nonsense.

Yeah, this is a patronage platform. You like a creator, you want to support them. You give them monetary support to enable them to make more better content. They give you some extras as a thank you. If you don’t want to support him with your patronage any more, that’s your business but if you entered it with a service mindset then that was your mistake

You aren't "paying for a service", this is a donation platform to support creators you enjoy. Its not a 1:1 money for content transaction. Getting extra content is just a bonus attached.

The fact that it is so unlike him should tell you something. To me, I think the most reasonable assumption is that there’s a very good reason that he hasn’t been able to come on to let us know what’s going on.

I hope he's been using the time away to watch and edit at his own pace and maybe get ahead for himself. I understand getting burnt out or overwhelmed or sick. But it would take so little effort to simply let us now here. Meanwhile, exactly, another month of charges rolled over without a pause to match his pause. It just seems so unlike Neil and I don't get the zero communication. But I can't keep holding on without any due courtesy. I'll definitely be back if he gets back on track. Wish him well.

Disappointing, unsubscribing too. Last I heard he was catching up on editing not going on holiday. If he had said so that would of been fine but payment has rolled over since then and I’ve paid for a service he didn’t intend to provide. Had I known of and expected the lull in content I would view it differently I am sure, but I was under the assumption he was catching up and maintained my subscription under that assumption.

If you search his whole name on twitter, Neil Allan in quotes, and look at the most recent mention ---- someone asked a friend about him. The reply was that he's on a staycation. Obviously earned, but a quick update is more than reasonable. Can't fathom why he wouldn't just say so. Will unsubscribe soon.

As far as I am aware, Neil isn't active on social media. I did a quick search a few days ago when I started getting worried, and found two twitter accounts (one for his reaction channel, one for his AD work), but he hasn't posted on either since 2021.

Dude's always been a professional during my time on his patreon (better part of a year now?) with regard to regular releases and keeping people informed, apart from the brief stumble a couple of months back. He's never behaved in a way which would lead me to be cynical and expect he was just flaking out. Of course, that makes the current radio silence all the more troubling. I'm not on social media (apart from this and Youtube, I suppose) so I don't know if there's been any communication in that sphere. I'm assuming not, or else it would have filtered down to here by now I would suspect. I'm giving him until this weekend to update, or I'll have to cancel my patreon membership for now. I'm not trying to be punitive or anything and if I see through his Youtube channel at some point in the future that he has resurfaced and resumed posting I'll probably re-subscribe. However, I'm an American pbulic school teacher, which means I don't have any spare pennies to rub together and have to really scrutinize how I use what little disposable income I possess. Either way, it's been a fun ride thus far and I wish him well regardless.

So would I if I had to time to watch other people watch a show I’ve watched for the entire duration of each episode. Sadly I do not, too busy. Plus then I get to see what Neil feels he had the strongest reaction too in a more efficient manner for the viewer. I understand the editing work that is required for that, truly I do, it’s why I’m happy to pay to have access to them and support him providing it. If this was a company I had paid money to and was not getting the expected service and was not able to contact them I would have taken it up with the BBB already. I just hope he’s alright and can update us soon as to the current state and expectations for things getting back on track.

I hope early access turns into Early access full reaction, Neil doesn't have to edit it + we get more Neil time!

This episode had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Amos having to kill Wei... and the saying good bye to Miller again... and Lucia flying off into space. God, I was so unprepared for what happened in this episode. I'm looking forward to the next one... and season 5 and season 6 lmao.
