It's been a long while since I've read any of AR's The Vampire Chronicles, but I have more recently rewatched Tom & Brad in 'Interview with the Vampire'. And, yep, the Vampire troupe in Paris... headed by Antonio Banderas' Armand, Guillermo's idol... ran the Theatre des Vampires. (Until it burned down.)

2023-04-17 13:00:34 +0000 UTCBefore I even watch, I want to say, THIS is the episode where I thought "Is this the spiritual successor to Buffy that we have been waiting on for so long?" Found family, comedy, with a complex Slayer-Vampire relationship at the heart of it. And looking back, the "Jackie Daytona" episode really reminds me of The Zeppo -- not that Lazlo is Xander, but that this is a show that stylistically can take an episode to explore one character in a bizarre way. I love this show so much (altho I have complicated feelings about Season 4). OK, on to the reaction!
