I love this episode. People love Zuko and Azula for different reason. It's great to see the "villain" episode and it helps to build their characters. Zuko's confusion is paramount and so is the dynamic within the group. You touched on Azula treating them like crap but the still cling to her.

The assassin is not only Fire Nation, he's a firebender— those explosions he makes with his mind are firebending. His name remains unknown.

Robert Allen

This episode is an anime homage. If you don't watch much anime you're not going to fully get it. A beach episode is a standard of anime. This episode is a fan favourite. Azula is not a little bit miffed. The shot of her staring into the flames is her revealing herself. Listen to Delisle's delivery of the line "My own mother... thought I was a monster" That was real. She hates herself for that. Ursa's love made zuko capable of good. All Azula had was Ozai. She is a 14 year old girl, just like Katara. Just a kid, as you said of Katara in the first episode of this season. Azula is just a kid too. I repeat, this episode is a fan favourite, and a lot of people, myself included pity Azula lol.
