Here's another concept art for Book 2, this is from one of the opening scenes <3 I'm fond of this part of the story, and the execution will be interesting in comic page format, especially with the new style.
I apologize once again for the long wait, but the workload and my perfectionism are not a great mix. I would love to hear your thoughts on this, you guys are the absolute best!

This is so beautiful!! I love the warm lighting here- it really does make the atmosphere seem more hopeful, and poor Stebbie could DEFINITELY use a little bit of hope right now 💖 Wonderful work, as always! 💕

I get a sense of there being some major shift in the mood of the story here. It does look hopeful, and calm, but also maybe with a touch of melancholy? This is a great example of how lighting can do so much to set the mood of a scene. I'm really looking forward to the start of Book 2, but please don't feel rushed! If you're not satisfied, then I'm not satisfied, and I want you to take as much time as you need to get nothing less than exactly the product you desire! 🙂 And I'm sure it'll be nothing short of spectacular!

I really think this new style suits the story a lot, and it adds a lot more emotion to the comic :) It seems like the Wishbones decided to welcome Steban in their home after all!! It shows the power of family bonds outshine Balt’s threats. I’m also guessing Steban finds out about Edgar in this scene as well. He clearly has a lot on his shoulders after the ending of Book 1, and is still reflecting on the burdens he’s facing. The way the light shines around Stebbie almost reminds me of a Catholic stained glass window figurine with a halo. It represents how he might be the only hope left for Oddwind. Steban knows this, and seems to be both a blessing and a curse… Each concept art makes me more and more hyped for Book 2, and I cannot wait for the release!!! Don’t give up on it Skailla!!
