Great video! Definitely lots of great and memorable scenes throughout the story so far! Two of my favorites were early on in the story. I loved the scene at the train station when Solomon and Rocco bust into that warehouse and find all those cops inside. The surprise party they definitely didn't want to attend! 🤣 Also really love the page where the train conductor finds the boys asleep in the boxcar after their little Cocassis bender 😁 The saloon brawl, of course, was also great. I definitely agree with you on the desert scenes, I've really enjoyed those, and especially all of the big landscape scenes. Ahh Beyond the Woods! Such a sweet and moving story, and I'm still so impressed by how well you were able to tell it without any dialogue, that is some incredible skill! Both the book and the animatic were just wonderful 💖 And speaking of animatics, now that you mention it, I'm definitely looking forward to the one about Steban's puppyhood now! That part of his life and what led him to become who he is is definitely something worthy of exploration, and I'm sure it'll be so much fun! The brigadeiro looks really tasty! Thanks so much for sharing that with us 👍 I've really enjoyed all of these Q&As, this has been a fantastic series and I hope we'll get to see more content like this in the future!

Favorite page was when Balthazar and Stevan were face to face!

Hiya. I wanted to thank you so much for this mini series; answering all our questions from your development process to artistic advices to your inspirations and personal adventures and even about that awesome Brigadeiro recipe. The later look delicious, I must try soon. The Q&A's were very wholesome and interesting 😊 I especially liked the notebook tour and your talk on motivation, on passion. As someone who struggle to voice my emotion, it spoke to me... For some of my favorite moments. It's really hard to choose, actually 😅 All 3 issues (4 with Shut Eye) had been a blast! Each time the Free Page Day transition to a new scene I often catch myself saying "ohh it's that time when... 👀". At the moment both chase scene in issue 1 (when Steban and Martin evade Rocco and Salmon) and issue 3 (when Steban and Martin escape the Scorpion with the Compass), Martha's very emotional flashback when Steban comfort her with a guitar and the tense final two scenes from issue 3 ( no spoilers 😉 ) comes to my mind. Thank you Skailla, Kryat and the rest of your team for this awesome book and for those to come 💖

Oooohhhh this was such an interesting Q&A video! It’s so cool that you showed us your Brigadeiro recipe, I’ll definitely try it sometime! I absolutely love Q&A videos because they let us get to know the wonderful person behind the incredible art, story, and world of No North (Plus Beyond The Woods!). You are my biggest inspiration, so it’s really cool when you share your thoughts like this and tell us what YOU think about things! And the ideas for the spin-off comics are amazing! I love when there are extra shorts or comics of a series or book to find out more about some of the characters- usually, the plot of a book, series, or movie doesn’t let you dive in too deep to a character’s background and history, especially if they’re a background character! I love finding out more about characters, especially when it’s short stories explaining something you might never have time for in the book! I’d love to see some spin-offs or short comics focused on Baltazar and Delilah’s relationship, and extra information or stories about characters. For instance, an adventure with the (old) Enders (though we might get some of that in No North!), Hank and his gang up to some shenanigans in the canyon, maybe playing a game or having a good time together, the coyote pack up to something or having an adventure (I can’t wait to see how they interact!), and some close-ups to the adventures of the Lost Expedition and how they interacted, plus what life was like in the old Oddwind- our full-grown protagonists in puppyhood, maybe something like Marsha, Edgar, and Holly interacting (a trio!) or going way back, like maybe the story of how Warren and Elle met, or maybe Curtis as a kitten, or him interacting with some more of the townsfolk! Those are just some of my ideas, ha! I absolutely love No North and the art is gorgeous, so it may be hard not to pick too many, but my favorite pages of No North are: Page 01 and Page 06- I absolutely loved this page, the background was just gorgeous and the color scheme with the dusk in the desert might be my favorite pages colorwise, they’re just stunning! And the coyotes running with the torches too, they mesh together with the story and scene so perfectly! I loved seeing the coyotes and the Bull King, really, pages 01-05 I might have to mesh together as some of my favorite pages, I absolutely adore them! The designs of the coyotes and the Bull King, and the dynamic of the pack plus the sunrise along the rocks and moon and stars and light of the sun contrast with the coyotes’ fur colors- it’s just amazing. I think it was the perfect page to start on, it’s beautiful, and it’s my iPad’s Lock Screen! Page 91 - This is the page we get to see Steban’s attic! I loved this page because Steban’s attic seems so interesting and like home to me. It’s like my dream room! We get to see one of our main protagonist’s homes, filled with all of his personal stuff! All of the books, posters hanging on the walls, the hammock and the guitar are all things I absolutely love, and the wide shot of his room in the first panel is gorgeous! It looks so comfortable, and a place I’d like to spend time in.You can tell a lot about a person (or dog, ha!) by seeing their room and what they choose to keep and have on display. And I always love learning more about No North! And, like he said, each thing he has in there has a story of its own- I just hope we’ll get to hear some of them! Pages 123 & 124 - I looovveeddd the scenes and pages we got in Delilah’s garden. Personally, even though we don’t see too much of her right now, Delilah is one of my favorite characters, design wise and personality wise. She’s super kind and artsy, I mean those paintings are gorgeous! And I really like Delilah and Curtis’s dynamic. The garden landscape scenes are beautiful (The Great Unknown Animatic being one of my all time favorite things to watch over and over again, it just strikes a really personal chord). I love to read the pages with Delilah and her garden to see Deli and Balt’s dynamic, Delilah’s artwork, and the wonderful symbolism in pages 129 and 131 of how Delilah is trapped- not just in the garden but in her life, relationship, and mind. I love seeing Delilah and her garden, and I hope we’ll get to see more of her soon! Page 139 - This page was one of your favorites, too! I absolutely loved seeing the bright splash of color with Martin’s imagination and inspiration, seeing the characters and story literally spill out of the book was so cool! And having your inspirations from Inkheart and The Secret Garden was really interesting, too, I loved seeing your dog renditions of them! I unfortunately do not have enough time to write down my wonders for the rest of my favorite pages, but they are pages 147, 161, 168, 190 & 192, 197 and 198. Out of all of these, my absolute favorite has to be 198! That page is just absolutely incredible, the painting, the art, the colors, the detail, the expressions, the little style change- it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen!

My favorite moment has to be when Steban and Martin take a break by the river. I love scenery with water features. And Steban trying to inspire Martin to write like the stories he read when he was young. Very colorful and imaginative. 💖

Znydragon

Wait... This is it for now?😧 I enjoyed these very very much, but I guess you deserve a small break... Even book 1 is nearly gone (it IS for me)😭... No but seriously take your time to perfect next book it is worth the wait, but hopefully we get some fun stuff during the hiatus...💙
