Martin Longbark - Character Sheet

How have you all been? 

We're getting closer to starting No North, so I decided to finally create the main cast's character sheets, final designs and descriptions!  There will be a ton of characters raining here on Patreon for the next days, hehe <3 I hope you enjoy it! Please let me know what you think about it!

Name: Martin Longbark
Nicknames: Shorty (Steban), Piglet (he hates that!)
Breed: Beagle
Age: Adult
Height: 36 cm (14"2)
Occupation: Writer 

Personality: Martin is an intellectual by nature. He’s analytical, investigative and deeply curious about new concepts. He considers himself to be a realist (but really, he’s a pessimist). Martin is very decisive and hard-working towards his goals, but can feel demotivated when he doesn’t get his expected outcome. He has poor social skills and a tendency of overanalysing simple situations. When in “the zone”, he is fuelled by pure inspiration and creativity, but needs his alone time and can get irritated when he feels over stimulated. He’s highly observant and resourceful, which sometimes leads him to amazing insights. Martin is skeptical and slow to trust new dogs, many times acting arrogant. He’d never admit it, but his self worth relies too much on how others perceive him. Getting his views, achievements and ideas approved by those he holds in high regards would mean everything to him.

Background: Martin was born a single pup to his already ageing parents. His house was in constant chaos from the fights and arguments between the couple, leaving Martin with little space in his family life. He became an overachiever in school, and always heard he was meant for great things by his tutors and colleagues, which made him expect too much from himself and his future. When he became an adult, Martin left home to embrace his fate and become a successful writer, only… Years passed and he never amounted to anything. But he’s still trying.

Relations: his only friend is Leonor, the local coffee shop owner. 

Trivia:

- His favorite genre (as a writer and a reader) is mystery. 

- He tried stand up comedy for a few dark months of his life

- All of his puphood friends grew up to be successful. They all moved away.
