I'm slowly finding my pace again.
Not quite there yet, but the only way forward is up. If you're worried about my long form content, I'd like to reassure you. I'm going to finish my longer series and even start new ones, but for now I'm taking it slow because I need the practice after being out of it for so long.
It might not seem like it, but that stuff is actually hard, taxing and more than anything, very time consuming. Now that I think about it, that probably explains why so few creators do this. It's a lot for a single person. But I did it before, and I know I can do it again. However, that didn't happen over night, it took a very specific mindset and a lot of practice and dedication to get there and pull it off somewhat decently. I'm currently retracing my steps process wise, so to speak, to try and make it happen again. That means doing short, simple content at first and slowly work my way up. Even though the pieces are small, I'm trying to make up for it by pushing the envelope (stuff like the finer details, the setup etc) as much as I can with my current capabilities.
I'll try to push it a little notch further this month.
As long as I have your support and your feedback, I can keep going.

Ah I might be confusing you with another artist. I deleted my Patreon account years ago. Anyway it's good to see you back, can't wait to see your future work. I hope you finish the Ryu, Kasumi, Ayane and Momiji video series.

Once you get the hang of making longer stuff, one animations that is 2-3 minute long released every 30-40 days, and 1-2 short animations a month is a steady pace, in my opinion. No need to push yourself for even more frequency, well, unless you decide to stick to just shorts for the month, I guess.

2024-10-31 16:58:04 +0000 UTCUnfortunately it's not an exact science, it depends a lot on the complexity of the scene, how many characters are involved, what kind of movement and physics I have to handle, and also how much IRL gets in the way (which can vary a lot from one month to the other). 10s loop could range from 2 days to a full week depending on these parameters. If I could do this full time it would be a different story, but for that I'd need a lot more support.
