W.I.P #171 - raven team revengeance

hello 2AM post coming at you hot. yapping is at an all time high, key points are underlined as per usual

starting off with a downer but i think i might be getting sick (probably caught the little bug my family had over the last week - nothing major, just your average sore throat and coughing). i say might because it's either gonna be a nothingburger illness that i'm already recovering from or i will randomly wake up and have completely lost my voice for a week. but if The Sickness thinks it's gonna impede my grind, it's got another thing coming

anyways, this laptop has been lovely to work with (though i will say, i HEAVILY doubt it will be capable of rendering anything beyond still images or very basic scenes) and i've been able to get some very solid progress done on this animation since starting on it a few days ago. like i'm pretty confident that i should be able to finish the animation completely within the next few days and begin the process of getting the scene done and preparing it all for rendering (assuming The Sickness doesn't take hold far more than it reasonably should in some cruel twist of fate)

but yeah, what's here is basically the entire animation minus a few additions/adjustments that i wanna make before the final version. polish is still needed for certain bits, but overall i am pretty DAMN pleased with how it's turning out despite the limitations of working on a less powerful system. all that's really left animation-wise is a bit at the end to make it transition back to the starting pose but that's like 20 minutes of work tops.

i'm still up in the mountains because my stay got extended to thursday (a snowstorm hit and driving is gonna be a nightmare). so while i can, thankfully, still work on stuff; rendering anything is probably gonna be off the table till i get back home unless my laptop turns out to be a beast. additionally, if my voice doesn't leave me come tomorrow morning, i might try finishing the script for the next skit and possibly getting it voiced. if my voice does leave me, then it's gonna likely be a hot minute before im physically able to get the voicework done - but so far it seems to be fine. either way, i've got my work cut out for me, so i'll keep you updated as i make headway.

that's about all i've got for now, depending on how my laptop handles rendering, i'll either return with the HQ release of this in the next handful of days or a WIP of the next project (likely the runner up from the poll)
i've said it probably over 100 times now but i'll say it again, thanks for your patience! the end of the year, lovely as it may be, tends to also be pretty chaotic, so the continued support and positive feedback really does help a lot. hope you enjoy my progress on this :] see you guys again in a few days!
