W.I.P #153 (Animated) - Iskra

okay got my fill of silksong to stop no-lifing it for now (FUCK the big stupid beast bug. if you know, you know. if you don't, i envy you). probably gonna wait till they do a patch before i hop back into it since, much as i adore the game so far, there's definitely some stuff that could do with a little adjustment. but i wouldn't imagine most of you are here for my rambling on video game mechanics - so here's my rambling on animating instead. needless to say though, i'm back on the grind and i appreciate your patience with my grim, albeit very brief, addiction.

despite the many, MANY distractions, i have been making some pretty good progress on this! i've been doing most of the facial animation alongside the main animation, so i won't have to go back and do it all afterwards - it does cut off in the last quarter-ish of this, but that'll obviously be fixed as i work on it. i definitely plan on making some adjustments to the camera (very small tweaks to minimize the amount of empty space). right now though, i'd say im like a good 65% done with this, maybe a bit more. all that i'm planning on adding is the last part (which begins from where this stops at), a climax, wind down, and then (possibly) returning to the original pose so it can loop. not too much work overall, so hopefully i can get this ready to render within the next couple of days. i'll see if i can't get another WIP out for you guys before then.

as for the pulchra skit, i'll be getting to work on that tomorrow on the side. i WILL have it out for everyone by next sunday (so in about 7-8 days - i just didn't wanna rush it since that'd 100% burn me out, assuming i'd even be able to get it done in such a short time). thanks for your patience with it though! i should have a render or two to share of it in the next post.

and just as a friendly reminder to anyone who may have not voted on it yet, there's a character poll running to determine the next character to be animated - so be sure to vote on that if you haven't already and would like to! it closes in 2 days, so you've got a nice chunk of time to mull it over.
